Hard Charger Award
This year we brought back an award that hasn’t been presented in a couple of years. It has been a challenging year for not just NSORRA, but also several riders. Whether it was a crash, a bike breakdown, a loss of a racing class, or a death in the family that knocked these riders out of Top 3 contention, we decided these five riders deserved to be recognized for their dedication and hard work this season.
At this year’s awards event, we presented the 2023 NSORRA Hare Scramble Championships HARD CHARGER AWARD which reads:
Every race is a question,
And you never know until the last stretch
What the answer will be.
That’s the lure of racing.
To:
- Riley Guthro, School Kid
- Keithan Wentzell, Junior
- Susan Foote, Women
- Lucas Ashford, Intermediate A
- Justin Lewis, Intermediate A
Thanks to Volunteers
Of course, none of this could have happened without our volunteers. Thank you for the work you’ve done. These races wouldn’t have happened without you volunteering to clear trails, set up the scramble courses, handling registration, volunteering in timing and scoring, acting as sweepers and of course, the NS Ski Patrol and Saint John Ambulance members who came out to support the events.
Shout out!
A big shout out to Justin Lewis and his company – Protocase Inc. for creating the wonderful trophies we presented at our hare scrambles and awards event this season.
Congratulations to all! See you next season!
