New NSORRA Ride Park to open in HRM in 2025!
Trail access in Nova Scotia is a priority for the Nova Scotia Off Road Riders Association.
NSORRA is working to grow trails in two ways: ride parks and general single track.
First, growing the number of Nova Scotia ride parks is important as the NS OHV Act states that Youth under 14 are only permitted to ride in closed courses. Ride parks provide riders and their families with a safe place to ride and spend time together.
Second, single track across the province is created, used and maintained by those who ride it, including NSORRA members.
Moto Canada Grant
Thanks to a 2024 Moto Canada grant, NSORRA was able to hire Susan Foote as our Trails Coordinator. Susan has been working with landowners and riders across the province to build access to trail.
We are happy to announce that, after discussions with NSORRA’s Trail team, landowner Kyle Ledwidge will be adding to NSORRA's ride park list by opening Miller Moto Trails Ride Park in Spring 2025!
Fresh off his Expert Champion title in the 2024 hare scramble series, Kyle made the announcement at the Soles In Motion - NSORRA Hare Scramble Championship Awards event in November.
Miller Moto Trails Not Open Yet!
Kyle has been working on his trails for the last several months. The new ride park borders private property that is currently accessible via his land. He asks all riders to stay off the trails until we can come up with a solution to make his trails into a fully closed course. An announcement will be made in the Spring when the park is open!
Do you have a Potential Ride Park?
If you have a large parcel of woodland that you would like to develop into a NSORRA Ride Park, we would love to hear from you! Reach out to Susan Foote at admin@nsorra.ca
