Have you updated your NSORRA registration profile yet?
If you are a renewing member, if you have a new bike, if you need a bike number or even if you have a new transponder, your NSORRA online profile should be updated.
Every event, we notice the same thing: rider profile information is out of date. This is a small thing for riders but a HUGE thing for NSORRA as we try to build the races in the timing and scoring system.
Transponders
Pre-race, any bike with the wrong transponder listed has to be changed in the computer so that the registrant’s info will be recorded when they pass through the tent. That's why we do the double check on site. When we pause someone and get them to re-enter, it means that their info is not corrected in our system.
Bike Numbers and New Bike Info
Same goes for bike numbers. If you have registered with a bike number without checking availability with NSORRA staff, this leads to a flurry of back-and-forth emails and phone calls that takes lots of staff and volunteer time.
If you haven't updated your bike information during registration, then your laps have to be removed from the system, your rider profile deleted, the info on your bike needs to be changed, then all your laps need to be reassigned, and the pdf needs to be recreated for your race.
As you can imagine, this is lots of work and takes away from the general running of the association.
Bottom Line
Please take a minute to update the information on your rider profile before you register for an event. That minute for you will save HOURS of time for NSORRA staff and volunteers.
Let’s all enjoy our time on the bikes!
