NSORRA Rec Ride series kicks off in Debert
The ground is drying up, the temperature is getting warmer, and the woods are calling. Dust the cobwebs off your dirt bike and join other NSORRA members on the trails for the first NSORRA Rec Ride of the 2023 season!
Now in its third year, this rec ride series has been designed to provide NSORRA riders with an opportunity to connect and tour trails that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to see.
This season, we will offer rides for those of differing abilities from beginner to hard enduro level. We will also be organizing family rides at our ride parks.
These rides will be led by seasoned riders. Volunteers will be assisting along the route with technical issues, first aid, and to provide coaching or support in terrain that may be unfamiliar to riders.
Debert Rec Ride
The first rec ride of the season will take place at Debert on Saturday, June 10 with a rain date of Sunday, June 11. Your hosts for this ride will be Neil Jennings and Shereef Elkoshairi.
09:30 Beginner Ride Check In and Safety Meeting: All morning riders will check in to ensure an accurate count for the ride. Safety and etiquette will be reviewed for the ride. Lead and sweep riders will be introduced and an orientation to the trail will be given so all riders understand what is to come on the morning ride.
10:00 Kickstands up! Ride will commence with lead and sweep riders in place to assist/coach as needed.
12:00 Picnic Lunch: All riders are asked to bring a picnic lunch. The morning ride will end prior to the start of lunch, allowing riders to use the bathroom gear down as needed and socialize with the other riders.
NOTE: The Debert rec ride location is across from a Tim Horton’s so feel free to support local business!
