Thanks to our 2021 Sponsors & Landowners – We couldn’t do it without you!
Fall 2021 was an exceptionally busy one at NSORRA and we didn’t get the chance to thank our 2021 sponsors so we’re doing it now!
Major Sponsors
Canadian Kawasaki Motors returned as title sponsor, thanks to Atlantic region rep, Bill Brown, who went to bat for us.
Soles In Motion returned as awards sponsor. They have been supporters of NSORRA for many years and we appreciate you! We can thank Jen Estabrooks for the beautiful year end trophies.
Perfect Powder Coating returned in a big way, with Denver Wearing handling the complete production and cost of our hare scramble medals and the powder coating of our trophies. Their work is excellent and we highly recommend that you visit them in Windsor if you need some powder coating work done.
Pro Cycle returned as our first scramble sponsor, this time at South Alton. Rob O’Brien and Kira McWilliams provided some great prizes and a nice presence at the event with their Pro Cycle van and tent.
Between Thistle Hurt and Craigmore, we held our Drive to Ride event which had been postponed from the start of the season. Valley Yamaha-Suzuki’s Kirk Long teamed up with Blaine Prest from Mill Hill to host a fantastic event with 110 participants.
Our third scramble sponsor was Beta Canada. Many thanks to Stephen Howland, sponsoring both the Craigmore scramble and the Recreational Ride series along with Barry Josey at RPM Cycle.
Between our third and fourth scrambles, Tara Mills at Liberty CC sponsored our Women In Moto event at Mill Hill in September. We had a great turnout with a highpoint of MX training by Heidi Cooke, Trials riding, Training demos and trails riding along with a barbecue and prizes for all our participants!
Shore Cycle was our closing event sponsor at Hiltz Road. Besides some great prizes for our competitors, Fred Morgan and Cathy Gaudet brought a lounge furniture set with them for under their tent which provided a little fun relief space.
When it comes to the scrambles, everyone is familiar with Truro Motorsports. Randy McLeod donated the prized red Holeshot t-shirts this year that were awarded to winners.
New sponsor Stuart Buck of Triple S Cycle Works came to almost every event and donated several prizes during the season. It was great to have him there.
He joined Freedom Cycle in Halifax, 509 Offroad, Zoom Cleaning Products, Kwik Kopy Halifax and Callus Moto who helped us with our Sweeper and First Responder jerseys as well as the new Board jackets.
We would not have been able to put on the 2021 series without all their support. We ask all of our members to support these organizations that support us.

In recognition of Kyle Ledwidge and his contribution to the dirt biking community, we presented him with a special plaque at the NSORRA awards event. The text on the plaque read:
The Nova Scotia Off Road Riders Association and its members wish to thank Kyle Ledwidge for his long time, supportive partnership and passion in developing Miller Meadow MX Park as a safe and fun dirt bike riding destination for all ages.

Thanks to our Landowners
Brent Pottle of Kynock Resources was recognized for setting up the NSORRA Dirt Bike School on his business’s property.
Blaine Prest of Mill Hill Ride Park and Herb Harnish of Thistle Dew Farm were recognized at the event with plaques for supporting the dirt biking community through use of their lands by NSORRA riders.
Three landowner families were not able to make it to the event but were also recognized. Steve and Richard Parkinson of South Alton, Leonard and Vincent Van Zutphen of Craigmore Creek and David and Sean Lacey of Hiltz Road were recognized as landowners working with NSORRA to ensure there are ride areas available for our youth as well as other NSORRA members.
Heading into the 2022 season
Our scramble schedule is in place and the race committee is meeting about promotions, classes and other details. We are rethinking sponsorship and plan on a new format for 2022. More details and opportunities to follow!
