A guided oil and filter change, along with chain tensioning were on the agenda at our first Women In Moto Tech Night held at Liberty CC on Wednesday, August 2.
After visiting the shop to see their latest and greatest (shout out to owner, Tara, for keeping Liberty CC open late just for us!), participants took demo rides on the Surron Light Bee and Ultra Bee and checked out the Storm Bee in the window before relaxing in the store’s courtyard to enjoy barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers followed by Claudine’s homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Bike Work Begins…
Participants gathered around Liberty CC race director and instructor John Gallant as he demonstrated how to complete a dirt bike lube service. Then it was time for the women and girls to get their hands (and clothes) dirty while completing an oil change with tips from John along the way.
Chain tensioning was next, and again John was on hand to demonstrate then provide advice as needed. Participants went home happy with bikes that were ready for their next ride on the trails.
What’s Next for Women In Moto?
