Vintage Class Part 3 – Developing Rules

Demand for a Vintage class at NSORRA hare scrambles is growing.
The Race Committee met on January 14, 2024 to discuss the upcoming season. Among the topics was new rules for the Vintage bike race class. Subject matter expert, Nigel Brooks, is listening to input and has started to put together prospective rules for the class.
Prospective 2024 NSORRA Vintage Iron Class Regulations
- Any bike manufactured 1993 or prior
- Any bike from the “Any Model Year” list found below
Technical
- No bike equipped with conventional forks as stock - may be retrofitted with USD forks
- Bikes equipped with USD forks as stock, must be equipped with same or “as close to” stock
- Bikes manufactured prior to 1990 receive a one-minute per year race time allowance

- Honda XR200
- Honda XR250
- Honda XR600
- Honda XR650
- Kawasaki KDX250
- Suzuki DR350
